The Northern Service Flight Company (NFSC) began its Air Taxi service on July 1 with the cheapest flight costing US$110.

Director of NSFC Nguyen Van Vinh said customers can make a choice of a number of routes linking Hanoi with Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Halong Bay and some of Hanoi’s neighbouring provinces in the initial stages.

Currently, the company will operate 20 flights from Hanoi to some tourist destinations such as Halong, Cat Ba, Mong Cai, Lao Cai, Sapa, Dien Bien Phu, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hue, Danang, Vung Tau, Con Dao, Can Tho, Ca Mau and Phu Quoc.

Tourism companies and individuals are requested to book in advance with the operator. As for VIP passengers who are not booked in advance, the airfare is between US$900 to US$2,700 per hour.

The European standard EC-130 B4 helicopters, which can hold six passengers and are very quite, will be used in all the Air Taxi flights. Noi Bai Airport has been chosen as services base and departure point.
